YMBL Summer League Q&A

Welcome to the home of the YMBL. We're excited to kickoff PSA's first ever Youth Muslim Basketball League (YMBL) this summer! We're glad to have you on board. Division groupings will be based on final registration.  We will have a minimum of two divisions based on age.

The player's age on June 17th (draft day) will determine which division they will play in. 

The draft will give the coaches a fair opportunity to choose the players for their team. All players/coaches must attend the draft on June 17th at Waterford Park in Davie. We will also have a brief orientation for the league.

If a player is unable to attend the draft, they will be randomly assigned to a team.  If you miss the draft, please email theprosportsacademy@gmail.com

No, we have a draft to allow the coaches to choose players to balance the league as best as possible. Coaches are allowed their own child(ren) on their team. No other players can be hand-picked for their team. They can still be drafted by the coach if they choose to do so. We also do not pair friends together.

Practice time and locations will be determined by your child's volunteer coach. Please make sure to save your child's coach's contact information so you can contact them.

All games are located at David Posnack JCC on Friday nights June 24th - August 5th, between 6pm -10pm. Teams will play 1, or possibly 2, games a night depending on the final schedule.

Full game schedule, as well as playoff schedule, will be provided to the coaches before the season begins.
